January 9th - Nancy Lavelle, a long time parishioner, who most recently lived at St. Paul Hermitage, passed away on January 5th. Please keep all of Nancy’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God grant Nancy eternal life! Peggy Clegg December 19th - Please pray for me. I broke my foot on Saturday and it is painful and difficult to get around! I have 4 days of work this week before I'm off for 2 weeks. Thank you! Liz Cheever December 19th - Please pray for eternal rest for Thomas Hunter (69), who passed away on 12/17. Tom, was not a parishioner, but lived just across the street on Bosart Avenue. Please pray for comfort for Judy Mitchell, his friend for the last 30 years. Peggy Clegg December 17th - My sister-in-law is on a list for a liver transplant. Please pray that she gets one soon. Brandi, her daughter, needs help fighting her addictions so that she may take custody back of her child. Blessings to all, Debbie December 17th - Mike is waiting on results from a test, please pray that they turn out good. Blessings to all, Debbie December 15th - Pat Murphy died on Sunday Dec 11th. She for many years was an adorer in the Chapel for various hours from 1am to 4am on Thurs mornings. She gifted the chapel with the carpet we now have and a vacuum cleaner. She often cleaned the chapel in her night hours. She retired from Community East Hospital where she worked on the IV Team for many years. She was 81 years old. She is a member of Holy Spirit on 10th street. Her memorial mass will be this Saturday at Holy Spirit at 11am There will be no published obituary. Please share this with the prayer vine. Thanks, Peggy Kramer December 14th - Please pray for Paula, who will be having surgery for lung cancer on Thursday. Also, Joe Baecher, who will have a heart defibulator put in on thursday as well. Thank you and God Bless. Katie December 11th - Please pray for my nephew Joe Baecher who is recovering from a heart event suffered on Friday. he will need surgery this week. Thank you and God Bless you all, Katie December 7th - Tom works for Krogers, he has arthritis in his spine and is in much pain. The cortisone shots that he has had do not last long enough so he is having an operation next week. Please remember him in your prayers. Thank you. November 30th - Please pray for Zac Clegg and for the Clegg Family during this tragic time. November 26th - One of my best friend’s daughter is in the hospital after having a grand mall seizure at work. She had another one at the hospital. They aren’t sure of the cause. She also has very high blood pressure. Please pray they find the cause and find a treatment. Please also pray for her mother Mary who is worried sick. Blessings to all, Debbie November 25th - My sister-in-law had a blood transfusion 21 years ago that was tainted with Hepatitis. It was misdiagnosed for 17 years and now is past the point of help. She is only in her mid 40’s. Last week she started having major issues and they fear her liver is starting to shut down. Please pray that it is God’s will that we do not lose Amy yet and the doctors find a way to relieve her pain. Blessings to all, Debbie November 22nd - Please pray for the father of Heather Rochford, who is hospitalized, that he be sheltered from pain. Pray also for him and his family that God will guide them through his illness and that God will help them accept what will be. Pray also for Deanie Gorton who is in CHE. Pray that the doctors can determine what is wrong and how best to help her get better. Peggy Clegg November 21st - A Gabriel "mom" from St Lawrence had twins today via C-section. One twin is doing well but the second twin died during the birth. The mother is taking it very hard and asked for prayer. Thanks, Anita November 21st - Please pray for my brothers good friend who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, which may have gone to his brain. He is in chemo at this time. Thanks, Jeanine November 18th - Donna left a message on the Prayer Vine voice mail asking for a blessing and healing for her family. She also is hoping she finds help for Christmas. Blessings to all, Debbie November 9th - Please pray for Ronald Mahin who passed away and whose funeral services will be held at Little Flower. Please pray for all of Ronald’s extended family and friends during this difficult time. May God grant Ronald eternal life. Peggy Clegg September 27th - My best friend’s daughter, straight A student and senior in college is having memory problems. She also has been having headaches for about a week. They took an MRI today but no results yet. Please pray it is something correctable. Blessings to all, Debbie September 27th - Daniel has 4 broken ribs. He will also need to start breathing therapy to make sure he doesn’t get pneumonia. He hasn’t vomited blood for 3 hours. They thought the blood was coming from his lungs. They have him on a morphine thing where he can push the button because the other wasn’t helping his pain. Just heard Daniel got up to brush his teeth!! Woohoo….he was upright!! Tim is still woozy and blurred vision but he has eaten. We are headed in the right direction…Thanks for the prayers!!! Liz September 26th - My nephew was in a bad car accident and has a broken rib and punctured lung. Tim got a concussion during a football game tonight. His daughter, Teresa Eckrich, teaches in our school and is also the parish music director. Matt is survived by his wife, Mary Helen, his children and lots of grandchildren. Please keep all of them in your prayers. Peggy Clegg September 17th - Please pray for Andrea Villenga, 30, who is still in a coma due to severe injuries suffered in the State Fair stage collapse. She has a four year old daughter. September 14th - Jackson is having surgery Friday morning...thanks for the prayers! September 14th - Please pray for Jackson. He is a toddler who has just been diagnosed with a serious tumor around his brain and spine. I don't have a lot of details. His mom is Allison and could use prayers as well! I would appreciate your prayers as well. I am feeling really overwhelmed about work and other relationships. I am really feeling stressed and I'm struggling! Thanks! Liz September 13th - Please pray for the junior at Cathedral who shot himself today. Pray that his stomach heals and that the young man gets the help he needs. Less balance problems, less throat problems. Rt side Sensitivity and nerve sensitivity all seen to be improving. I thank all of you for your thoughts, well wishes and especially for all the prayers. Jane Bell July 29th - My fellow Co-Worker Rick Lyons and his Family who needs our prayers to Comfort and strengthen his family during this time of sorrow for the loss of Isabella Lyons! Lord hear our Prayers! July 28th - Please pray for eternal rest for Isabelle Lyons (1 year old). She died from injuries sustained in a car accident yesterday. Her parents are Chris Lyons and Sabrina Stroud. She also has a 3 year old brother, Gage. Her grandparents are Karen and Rick Lyons. Her aunt and uncle are Jeff and Katie Lyons. Blessings, Debbie July 9th - Julie has been battling cancer for 3 years. First it was breast cancer and now it is bone cancer. She has been in so much pain and they just recently found that she has a cracked sternum. Please pray for her, her son Elijah who just graduated from LF, her mom Charlene and her family. Blessings to all, Debbie July 8th - Please pray for my son Daniel, whom was in an accident at work. He was hit in his chin,head. He is in the hospital and is in stable condition. Peggy Clegg July 4th - Jane was released from the hospital but had to go right back. They finally determined she had a light stroke. She will be in St. Francis Beech Grove for a few days. Peggy Clegg June 25th - Crystal's dad has been fighting cancer. They don't think he will me lasting much longer. Please pray that he doesn't suffer much longer, pray for peace within for his wife and daughter. We went to Shelbourne Knee clinic and they do not believe in strong pain meds, only tylenol and aleve. She has been in so much pain even today, the 5th day, that I cannot help but cry to see her in such pain. Whatever you do, don't go to Shelbourne, unless you want to suffer through a lot of pain. Thanks, Julie June 11th - Lee isn't with our parish but her friend is asking for prayers for her. She is 87 and has been struggling for quite some time with lung and other issues. Mrs. Wilerandt's children have been called to her bedside. Please pray for her and her children. April 26th - My Uncle Glen just had heart surgery. He is doing okay but not out of the woods yet. My cousin Mike is back in the hospital. He had surgery to remove cancer in his brain a few months ago. His right side is paralyzed and they are trying to find out why. Please keep them in your prayers along with their wives and families. Peggy Hannah April 20th - At first, Chip did not do well of the vent, but he improved, was moved out of ICU yesterday and back to the Nursing home today. He is still not out of the woods, each time he chokes, which is often, he runs the risk of pneumonia, and each illness could be the last. He will be on hospice care from St. Francis. He is the father of our parishioner, Matthew Tamer. Peggy Clegg April 15th - Roz who is nurse in Cottage 1 called this AM to report that Mom's hemaglobin count is low. She doesn't feel like getting out of bed or eating. They want to start her on oxygen. She has lost 7 lbs. this month. Hospice will prescribe meds to comfort her. Pray for Mom to be safe and in the Lord's hands. Pat Murphy April 13th - April 13, 2011 Please keep Chip Lawless in your prayers, he is in St. Francis Hospital South with pneumonia. Bob & Bobbie Lawless April 12th - Please pray for a friend and former colleague, who leaves for medical mission work in Uganda tomorrow. she will spend at least 5 years in an area where Ebola is rampant, and her home is so primitive it doesn't have running water. please pray that she is sustained and protected in her ministry! Georgia April 12th - Please put my nephew and his wife, Ben and Amanda on the prayer vine. They are fairly new in their marriage and are having some serious mariage problems right now. She has had several surgeries but continues to have problems. She is a single mom with a special needs son. Please pray that the doctors find out what is wrong and are able to heal her soon. Anita passed away on March 24th. Her services are still pending. Peggy Clegg March 24th - Kelly is continuing to do well on bed rest. She had an ultrasound today. There was a concern in the past because Luke's cord had intermittent flow. Today the flow was just right. He is still pretty small, but he is continually growing and that is good. All three have good heartbeats. Thanks so much for your continued prayers. Mary March 24th - Please keep our parishioner, Anna Marie Gutierrez, in your prayers. She is having some heart problems right now. Charles Bordenkecher (79) is the brother of our parishioner, Pauline Graf. He passed away on March 19th and his services are pending at Baker Funeral Home in Danville , IN. May God grant Diane and Charles eternal life. Peggy Clegg March 21st - Thanks again to all who are praying for Kelly and the triplets. She did have a rise in blood pressure overnight which they are addressing. However generally she is maintaining her current status well and doing well. No contractions, thanks be to God. She is kind of miserable at times but that more reflects the requirement to stay in bed and eat and drink constantly. She knows that she is in the best place for her and the babies' care. She is so very grateful for all the fervent prayers rising to heaven on her and the babies' behalf. It is such a comfort to know that you are all interceding for us. Many thanks! Mary Wilson March 18th - Thanks for your continued prayers for Kelly and the babies. She is hanging in there and all three babies have good heartbeats per the ultrasound. Of course the other concerns about sizes of the babies continue to be an issue. We all appreciate the prayers so very much. Mary March 15th - Please pray for my daughter Kelly who is pregnant with triplets and is having problems. The identical twin boys (Luke and Wilson) are not growing at the same rate which could mean big problems. Today the third baby a girl named Ella has a ruptured sac. It sounds catastrophic but the doctors say she could continue to grow and could even regrow the sac. Kelly is in the hospital getting the IV meds she needs to help the babies. She is only 24 weeks along so the babies really need to stay in utero to have a fighting chance. Thanks- your prayers are very much appreciated. Mary Wilson March 14th - I am asking for prayers for my sister-in-law's father, Woody Sullivan, who has had many health problems this last year. Last night he suffered a small stroke. They have her on chemo and are giving her 5 months to live. Please pray they can put this awful cancer in remission. February 8th - Please pray for my dad, Bruce Armstrong. He is in the hospital at Clarian West. He had surgery on his hand to remove cancerous cells that had returned. It went well but then he fell on the ice last week and landed on that hand. He had no broken bones, but bad swelling and a lot of pain. His incision is now infected, he has been hospitalized and will likely be there at least another day or two. They are checking to see if it is a staph infection – please pray that it isn’t and that he is able to make a full recovery! Thanks! She has been getting rigors which they give her demerol but her poor little body goes through quite a bit until it starts working. She had a reaction like she did the first time but those awesome nurses were ready for it. They got it under control, Vic finished her treatment and was home by 4:30. Thanks, Peggy December 1st - My sister just found out that she has indolent lymphoma. This form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma is very slow-growing. This Thursday she will be having a CT scan from shoulders to hip to see if there are any enlarged lymphnodes. Also, she got a blood test yesterday. The results from all of those tests will be ready next Tuesday when she has her next appointment. There we will find out the exact diagnosis and discuss possible treatment options. Please pray that they found this early and the doctors are successful in treating this. The cancer had spread to her spine and she was in an incredible amount of pain, so God took away her pain and for that I am grateful, but I have lost a wonderful friend. Although he has had many tests and mri's the doctors could not conclude what is causing his problems. He first lost his hearing completely in his right ear. His other ear is giving him balance problems. Now he is showing symptoms of alzheimers. He just celebrated his 67th birthday. Please pray that it is not alzheimers and the doctors will be able to heal him. Thanks and God Bless, Katie September 17th - Please pray for one of my nephews, John Jr, who will be 22 next week was in involved in a car wreck Thursday morning. John Jr was a passenger in the back seat of a car that lost control and hit a utility pole on the passenger side. John Jr has 2 broken vertebrae in his neck, skull fracture, is on a ventilator and has been unresponsive since being at the hospital. Pray for John Jr to regain consciousness soon and for a full recovery. Pray also for his mom, dad and sister as well as all of his family and friends for strength and guidance through this terrible accident. John Jr is the cousin to Trevor Grismore and Kevin Hannah. September 16th - Bernie Schwering's brother Melvin was in a golf cart accident and they had to life line him to the hospital due to head injury. So far he is getting better but they are watching him very close, please pray for his continued healing. September 16th - Mr. Doebler, the music teacher at Scecina, lost his father in the past day or so. prayers for eternal rest and perpetual light for him. September 13th - Mary Ann Atkinson called me this evening she was wanting prayers for her mother. She had a bad fall last year on Labor Day and broke her back, she is in a wheelchair and not doing so good also has dementia. Mary Ann gets depressed sometimes and would like prayers for herself. They are living in a retirement home, Marie is in assisted living and Mary Ann is in a small apartment. Mary Ann tries to take care of her mother and goes see her every day. Please keep them in your prayers. Dottie. September 12th - My cousin Sharon has cancer in her kidney and they will be removing it on Tuesday. Please pray that the surgery is successful and they are able to remove all of the cancer. September 9th - Please pray for the repose of the soul of Jane Burns. Jane, age 79, was the last surviving sister of parishioner Mary Skinner. She was the mother of 10 children. Liz August 15th - My older brother, Richard passed away on August 10th. He was 59. He served 16 years in the Army and National Guard, and 30 years in Law Enforcement, as a full time police officer. He leaves behind 2 children, who really need prayers, even though they are over 21. Rick lost his wife a couple of years ago, and has ever since been "going downhill". He did have the sacrament of the sick, so I know he's in heaven. Could you please pray for my mom and other family members? I do appreciate it, even if it's just one, but make it a big ONE!
