June 19th - Lois Irwin has pneumonia I am sure she can use our prayers. Thanks Jane June 18th - Please say a prayer of thanksgiving to God! My friend Kelly just called from Michigan to say that she is finally pregnant! She and her husband have been trying for a long time to have a child and they have been battling some medical issues along the way. It is really early, so please also pray that the child contiues to grow and that Kelly has a healthy pregnancy! Thank you so much! (I'm so excited!!!) Liz June 16th - Please pray for our daughter Debbie's mother-in-law Mary O'Neal. She had open-heart surgery about 2 weeks ago and is in a nursing home. She is not responding to the therapy very well. Also she is not eating. Your prayers would be appreciated. Pat Rech June 16th - Please pray for the McMahon and Holle families; Bud McMahon passed away Sunday evening after a courageous battle with cancer. He had been doing quite well, but had a sudden turn for the worst on Saturday. Georgia June 13th - Please pray for Donna Root, a good friend of our family. She had breast cancer which is now in her bones. They can not give her anymore chemo. They have her on at home hospice care and are basically making her as comfortable as possible. Georgia June 10th - Please say a prayer of Thanksgiving for Shawn's new job! We aren't sure when he'll start, but this will mean more income for us, job stability and good benefits! Liz June 10th - Joe Richter called Sister today after Lois was out of recovery to say that everything went as planned with her surgery and that Lois was doing well but pretty groggy. The good news was that the lymph nodes were negative. The doctors were pleased with how the procedure went. Joe said she'd probably go home tomorrow. Continue to keep her on your prayer lists for a full recovery and that she doesn't try to do too much too soon --- we know how the "mighty missionary" can be. Have a good day everyone. Georgia June 2nd - My Mom Pauline Taylor fell at the Martin Co rehab Center on Sat this week and got a concussion and cut on the left eye . She is presently at Jasper Memorial. She isn't doing too good . She is 93 yrs old. Please put her on the prayer line. She is a very sick woman right now. Thank you so much . May God Bless all the people who will pray for her recovery. Georgia May 26th - Jo called me Saturday and she is pain free. She wants to thank everyone who prayed for her. She is not able to come back to church yet because of some swelling in her legs. She is looking forward to being back with all of us. May 23rd - Please pray for Joe McDonald, a parishioner who was hit by a car while riding his bike to work yesterday. He has a fractured vertebrae and is currently in Methodist Hospital. He is hoping to be released today after being fitted for a brace. He was wearing a helmet, so other than the fractures and significant bruising his prognosis is good. May 23rd - Please pray for John Lay, the son-in-law of Jack and Cathy Mears. John is the father of triplets. Please pray for his quick return to good health and to work. Also, please pray for Wayne Mathias, the son of Isabella Mathias, who had heart surgery on Thursday. May 19th - Please pray for Joe and Brenda Fowler, who are leaving tonight for a final trip to Myrtle Beach, that the trip be uneventful and provide good memories and a wonderful time. Georgia May 18th - My cousin and her husband thank you for your prayers. After more testing, it was found that neither had the serious health conditions that were thought might exist. fr. bob May 18th - Please pray for Ellen Krebs. She is a customer of mine and is such a doll. For 20 years this woman has been through 5 bouts with cancer. They put her in the hospital Tuesday because of her deteriorating condition from lung cancer and she hasn’t eaten in 5 days. Blessings to all of you,Debbie May 16th - Please keep us in your prayers as we drive to South Carolina. The twins and I got a clean bill of health from the OB this morning and we are leaving tonight. Please pray that everything continues to go well for us, especially while we are out of state. Also, my cousin Steve and his wife Tami just found out that they are pregnant after two years of trying. Please pray a prayer of thanksgiving and that the baby grows successfully and is healthy! Thank you so much! Liz Cheever May 16th - I'm sending this to my best prayers! My cousin, Matt York, is about 30 years old. (He's Pat's son, for those that know my Mom's family.) He has been sedated in the hospital for a week now, unable to be removed from the ventilator due to a serious case of pneumonia. They have now pronounced his condition serious and are considering lung surgery. Please pray for him, his family and his fiance. Thank you. Christen May 15th - Please pray for Bernie Shepard, son of Margaret Gold, a long-time parishioner, who will undergo surgery next week. Thank you and God bless all of you. May 15th - Bob Rose requests prayers. He has been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer. He is May 14th - Please pray for my cousin and her husband, Kathleen and Jim Fierek, who are both struggling with potentially serious health issues. fr. bob May 12th - The fire in Florida is real close to David's home. We need to get a pray chain started now. He said they closed the schools in his area today. He expects them to wake them up sometime tonight to evacuate. They have a small car and can't take anything with them. Love you all, Judy May 12th - Please pray for my father, John Wurz, who has been in the hospital / rehab facility for the past 3 months after a fall which has resulted in several health-related issues. Also, I request that you keep my mother, Alvina Wurz, in your prayers during this difficult time. Diane Gray May 5th - Surgery went well, and took much less time than they had anticipated. So that’s very good news, and will make for an easier recovery. Brian reports today is when she’ll have the most pain, so keep her in your prayers. They have her in the burn unit, which isn’t unusual as they use it for a sort of auxiliary ICU, and they’re very good with pain management there. Georgia May 4th - Jordan is having surgery Monday, and I'm sure Brian would appreciate her being on the Prayer Vine. I don't believe it's brain surgery, but it's neurosurgery to relieve some nerve compression. Yes, it's related to dwarfism; basically, growth patterns are a bit uneven. I plan to stop at Riley in the morning; her surgery is scheduled first thing Monday morning. I'll let you know when I hear how things went. Georgia May 2nd - My cousin Garrett has been been fighting leukemia since he was 18. He is now 22, married for a year, and has a 3week old son. He had a stem cell transplant as his last option. That was this week. His white blood cells are now through the roof, and his red blood cells are down. They can't find an infection. His body may be rejecting the stem cells. The doctors have said that it's not good, and that they are not sure what is going on. They wanted to do a test on his bone marrow, but they are leary because they don't want to make things worse. Please pray for Garrett and his family and forward this to anyone else who will pray. Thanks, Jessie April 30th - Would you please put Bob Schneider on the Prayer Vine? He was a classmate of mine at Little Flower class of 1953. Bob suffered a severe head injury after a nasty fall at home last week. He remains in a coma, is suffering from pneumonia and low blood count. He is receiving plasma. He is in intensive care at Methodist Hospital. Thanks, Mary Skinner April 28th - Some of you may remember that last May, my cousin's son, Frank Burbrink, died in a car accident. I am asking for prayer for my cousin and her husband, Bonnie & Greg Burbrink, and their other children: Nate, his wife & children; Cliff, his wife & children; and Carrie. The month of May will mark what would have been Frank's 18th birthday, the first anniversary of his death, and what should have been his graduation from high school. He also has much extended family who are going to be greatly saddened during this month. Thank you for remembering them. Her family is understandably devastated. Georgia April 18th - Jo called me this morning she had just talked to her doctor they found she has a cracked/crushed disc in her spine. She wanted to thank all who prayed for her and to please keep praying that they can do something to ease the pain. She thinks all of you are wonderful to pray for others like you do. God bless all of you. April 18th - Eternal Rest Grant Unto Her, O Lord. Please pray for the family of Marcia Duncan, age 93, a very long-time parishioner, who passed away this morning. April 9th - Please add Macy Hough to the prayer vine. She is a five-year-old who will have complicated surgery in Boston on Monday, April 14th. Thanks. Fr. Bob April 9th - Markos surgery went wonderful and no cancer!!!! The doctor said he had calcium built up in his lung. Markos is a welder which could be part of the problem and they also said that since Markos coughs so much and drinks a lot of soda that if he coughed while drinking the soda that the carbon could have gotten in his lungs and caused the build up. I have never heard of it before. My friends are originally from Croatia and speak very good English but communicating with the doctor was a bit of a struggle. Thanks so much for your prayers! April 8th - Markos is a friend of mine. He had to go to the emergency room for stomach pains when they discovered he had 2 spots on each lung. They took a biopsy but were unable to make a diagnosis. He has been in so much pain. Tomorrow he is going in for surgery. Please pray that it is God’s will that they can help Markos and also keep his wife Ruza and son Marcel in your prayers. Blessings to all, Debbie April 7th - Eternal Rest Grant Unto Her, O Lord. Please pray for the family of Violet Popp, who passed away over the weekend. Georgia April 6th - Jo Valenti, a parishioner, is in constant pain and needs your prayers. They can't give her much pain medication because she doesn't weigh enough. The doctor gave her an epidural right into the nerve and it didn't help. April 6th - Rosemary is doing better. They still have her on strong medicine but she recognized her family yesterday and was talking a little bit. Continued prayers are needed. Thanks so much and God bless April 5th - I just got word from Shannon that Gracie has been diagnosed with a Neuroblastoma. So far the lymph nodes and bone marrow aspirate are clear of malignant cells. But this will involve chemotherapy that will keep Gracie in the hospital for a week at a time. She is currently at Riley (where they did the surgery) and will have chemo there. Our MOPS group (Mothers of PreSchoolers) is organizing meals and helping with childcare for these times. Please continue your prayers for her family. Siobhan April 3rd - Renee Conder's Dad may have suffered a stroke. Lois April 2nd - I have an update on baby Gracie. The mass they went in to see about is cancerous. I don't have any other info on treatment and so on other than they said it was an aggressive from of cancer so please continue to keep Gracie and her family in your prayers. I just got home from Florida to discover that she went into the hospital on Saturday and had surgery this morning to remove a mass from the area of her tailbone. She is only 5 months old. March 28th - Please pray for a very dear friend of mine who is battling skin cancer and a lung tumor and is receiving treatment. Jeanine Adkins March 28th - Autumn is my great niece who is not quite 2. She has been having a terrible battle with double ear infections then she was diagnosed with MRSA which is a type of staph infection. Please keep Autumn in your prayers and that God has blest us to keep all the children from catching it.. March 27th - Brady Bishop, 21 year old parishioner battling a recurrence of cancer. Tom March 26th - Please keep a young man, Travis Connor, age 34, with four little kids at home, in your prayers. Have watched this kid grow up, go to college and become a great school teacher and a great dad. He is an exceptional young man and liked by everyone. Became quite ill last week, transferred to IU Med Center and today, finally, a diagnosis of viral meningitis with some pretty severe swelling of the brain. Needs prayers desperately. Thanks. Bert March 25th - Please pray for the family of Elaine Sauer, who passed away Monday evening. Georgia Impicciche March 25th - Rosemary Maginn fell on her way to Communion Service tonight and hurt her right shoulder. Her daughter, Peggy, is taking her to the hospital for x-rays. It was really hurting and she couldn't lift her right arm. Lois March 24th - Please add to the prayer vine Aspen Olsen, the 5 year old daughter of Bryce and Liesl Olsen. She has a ventricular septal defect that she has had since birth but it now has bidirectional blood flow (right to left and left to right). She also has a right ventricular muscle bundle blocking blood flow and causing increased pressure on the low pressure side of her heart. This is causing increasing movement of non-oxygenated blood flow from the right to the left. She is meeting with doctors in Houston on the 12th, has some pre-op tests on the 14th and then will have open-heart surgery either the 17th or the 18th. She is being worked in on an emergency basis by these heart surgeons. Please pray that able hands and skilled caring physicians heal this wonderful child’s heart and the God watches over her and her family. Thanks. She has had much trouble with it and has had many injections with more to go. Thank you for all prayers. Kate Baecher February 10th - Please pray for my cousin family. Her second oldest, Molly, a senior at Auburn crossed the median and hit a car on I- 85 head on yesterday afternoon. She has a broken pelvis, collapsed lung and brain injuries that have a 50/50 chance of ever waking up. The next 72 hours are critical in determining her outcome. ( Ironically, she has an older sister who had brain damage at birth and was not expected to live to see age 5...now in her 20's.) Also pray for those in the other car. Judy February 7th - Please get this prayer request going as soon as you can. Shorty Rayhill is up at IUMed right now, she has had non hodgkins disease for a few years but the cancer has now changed into a very agressive stage. They also found a large mass in her stomach and are giving her high doses of chemo 20 hours a day for 4 days! Please keep her and the family all lifted up in prayer and pray she will receive a healing touch from our Lord! Arrangements are pending. Georgia January 26th - Mary Quinn passed away this morning. Please keep her family in prayer. January 24th - Archbishop Daniel has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a cancer of the blood/lymph system. They are still in the process of thorough testing and determination of treatment, but it is definite that he will be receiving chemotherapy. Hodgkins is very receptive to treatment with chemotherapy, and rates of successful treatment are quite high. Please keep the Archbishop in your prayers. Georgia January 24th - Please pray for Phil Rieman, a local pastor, who has suffered a massive brain hemorrhage. Georgia January 22nd - In thanksgiving for the birth of Gavin Gourley and in request for prayers for him also. He was born yesterday at about 5 weeks early, and he has a feeding tube right now. All is expected to go fine. (This is my cousin's grandchild.) Please pray for the family of Maxine Line, my aunt, who died yesterday. Georgia January 14th - Please pray for Pat Rech. She had another stent placed after developing a clot. Georgia January 13th - Please pray for John Koehl, father if Katie Lyons. He is currently in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at St. Francis hospital after having passed out earlier today. He had stopped breathing for an undetermined amount of time, so his prognosis is not known at this time. Tom January 11th - Anita Moody's Gabriel Angels client is having horrible problems with her ex-husband. He had her arrested and then fled with the 2 oldest children leaving the infant at the babysitters. Anita got the baby from the sitters. I have met Anita's client and she is a wonderful young lady. Please help us pray that she is released from custody and that they are able to find the other two children. Deb January 6th - Rose Mary is my customer who actually belongs to St. Phillips parish. She had back surgery last Friday and was suppose to come home Saturday. She is still in the hospital going through therapy. Please pray that her therapy is successful soon so that she may return to her home feeling better. Thanks so much and God bless. Debbie January 6th - Please pray for Marie Sides, age 89, who is critically ill in the hospital. Deb January 3rd - Please pray for Gary and Marcia Boswell, who buried their 24-year-old son, Ian, yesterday (their only child). Ian was killed in a car accident on Christmas Eve night. Gary and I shared an office for 6 years back in the late '80's. During that time, Gary was an avowed atheist, although respectful of others' faith. In '96, before moving to Florida, Gary and Ian were baptized in Marcia's church, and have been devout Methodists ever since. Please pray that God's comforting presence will remain with Gary and Marcia in their grief. Deb January 3rd - Please pray for my brother-in-law who was deployed to Iraq yesterday and will be gone for at least a year. Please pray for his safety and the safety of all those who are serving our country. Please pray also for my sister and their 8 month old son as they struggle with his absence. Thanks! Liz December 31st - In Thanksgiving for both Scot Coon and Erin Sutton being found cancer-free! Erin was even able to skip her 6th chemo today but may have to have a small dose of radiation. Please pray for continued good health for both of them! Please pray for my daughter Feliz's back. For the last few months, she has been having pain. She has been diagnosed with scoliosis, a bulging disc, and arthritis. The arthritis seems to be the culprit for the pain, however. Physical therapy is helping, but God's intervention would be the best cure! May 2008 be blessed for each of you! Susan December 29th - Don left a message that Pat had surgery last night due to a blockage in an artery. They performed angioplasty and inserted another stint (which is the 5th stint). She will be in the hospital for a few days. Don is requesting prayers for a healing of Pat's arteries and heart. Deb December 26th - Please pray my grandchildren are healed of all their allergies. Thank you for your prayers. Donna December 25th - Please pray for Mary Therese Schwering and her family. Mary Therese passed away yesterday, the morning of Christmas Eve. This will be an extremely hard Christmas for her Husband and two children ages 8 and 12 years old. I pray that everyone has a blessed Christmas. Julie Null December 12th - Kathy is one of my customers. Last night she was taken to Methodist Hospital with chest pains. They are currently running tests on her. Kathy is an amazing woman who does so much for so many. Please help me pray for the doctors to help Kathy get back home to her family.
